Clear Vision 2020

Clear Vision 2020 is an effort to bring the many diverse visions and topics from many different agencies and groups into one community based piece.  We are meeting with the leaders or experts on each topic and then evaluating our stance on what we feel are true measurable goals to create the Antioch we want to see in 2020.  These goals/vision will represent the top three or four items for each topic, but not every concern so that our efforts can be concentrated on follow through.  After completing the research phase of the project (mid 2008), all chamber policy and advocacy efforts will come through this Vision. In addition we hope to have educational lunches to inform members and community of what is going on regarding these topics and how they can be a part of the solution.

This is the work of the Economic Development/ Government Affairs Committee led by Chairman Ralph Garrow of Ralph Garrow Real Estate.

Topics include:

• Transportation - Informational meetings are complete and the goals being set.

• Education - Informational meetings are complete and the goals being set.

• Delta Water and Environment - Informational meetings are underway

• Quality of Life/Community Safety - Future Topic

• Economic Development - Future Topic

Meetings are on the second Thursday from 8 am to 9:30 am with potential for a second meeting on the fourth Thursday.
